    Call for Covid 19 volunteers

    Do your duty, contractors.

Greggs to start reopening shops amid coronavirus lockdown | Greggs | The Guardian

A Greggs spokeswoman said: “We want to play our part in getting the nation back up and running again, so we are planning to conduct a limited trial with volunteers to explore how we can reopen our shops with new measures in place that keep our colleagues and customers as safe as we can when we reopen at scale.”

How many pies would they expect participating customer triallists to eat at once?

I could probably manage two, but that may not be enough for their exacting test standards.

A lot of Greggs aren't big enough for separate entrance and exits to the shop so enforcing the 2 metre rule will be a challenge. Be interesting to see if shops go cashless completely.

And, almost by definition, Gregg's customers will be, on average, larger than customers of other companies, so even fewer will fit into their shops and be able to keep the 2 metre distance from others.

Thats assuming the 2 metres starts from the widest point on someone, not their face. Shops should be forced to install VAR.

What she really meant is " We'll spout any old garbage to get a bit of exposure as we're running low on funds and need to do anything we can to generate some cash"

MF can pick up a good momentum if he hears they've reduced pies to clear.
