    Bubble math

We're being pretty restrained over Christmas in terms of seeing people but an interesting corner case presented itself and I'm curious if anyone knows an answer....

We plan to Christmas bubble with household A. Household A are in a support bubble with household B who have a baby which is allowed since lockdown 2 ended.
Household B are going to see relatives, household C for Christmas elsewhere in the country.

So, technically speaking does that mean we are in a Christmas bubble with household C?! A+B can be treated as a single household for most purposes but this corner case is unclear.

Purely as an intellectual exercise, what's the answer, is there even an answer

Yes you are in a bubble with household C.

So you may as well visit them to give them some Christmas cheer.

Alternatively just don't see household B for 2 weeks after they have seen household C inside anywhere.

Oh, I thought this was going to be an interesting thread about the mathematics of multiphase flows.

              It's an interesting one.

I am in a bubble with HWMBO.

HMWBO has childcare duties shared with his ex.

His ex is in a bubble with her partner (they don't cohabit).

His eldest is in a bubble with their boyfriend.

Both his children are in class bubbles at school (different school years so different bubbles).

I CBA to draw that as a Venn diagram. As his eldest pointed out last time I was there, I am technically in a bubble with their mum's partner

We manage it by doing everything in two or three week blocks. Essentially, bubbles are a bit of a scam / sham.

I thought it might be about bubble sorting

                  Bubbles don't have corners!

This is starting to sound like topology! I think you will be in the union of all the bubbles, if these are in a Hausdorff space
