If you had £250K in your account for a descent 3-bed, no ties (family, school, etc.) and the majority of your clients based in London (30%), The North + Scotland (50%) and Western Europe (20%).

e.g. Milton Keynes - Pros: M1 for The North and London, fast train to London (40 min), Luton for cheap flights to Europe (40 min), wide choice of properties for the budget; Cons: It's Milton Keynes.

Bit further north than MK, but what about York? Maybe somewhere else in the Midlands so that you can get to Birmingham Airport?
