Sad as it is to see a couple of Brits pleading for their lives on TV, I agree with HMG stance that we shouldn't pay ransom's to hostage takers as it only encourages more of the same. I wonder though if we could treat fire with fire and round up a few Somali's from over here and parade them on TV, obviously we can't shoot them but maybe we could threaten to send them back to their homeland or exchange them?

Also, who (amongst the Somali pirates) is going to give a tulip?
Much better would be to locate all vessels outside of Somali waters without proper identification and blow the crap out of them."See, you think I give a tulip. Wrong. In fact, while you talk, I'm thinking; How can I give less of a tulip? That's why I look interested."Comment

I like the cut of your jib, sir!
I'd much rather the Royal Marines were protecting shipping interests than trying to clear some land for an oil pipeline.Comment

We should kill the hostages in front of their kidnappers, then they will never bother taking another UK citizen hostage again.Comment
