No work 21st Dec to 1st Jan inclusive.
ClientCo actually told a load of other contractors to take an extra 10 days in December, luckily I had already booked mine and they couldn't do without me for the whole month.
Our contracts already say that we have to take 25 days a year, presumably re trading and other government/banking requirements.Never has a man been heard to say on his death bed that he wishes he'd spent more time in the office.Comment

Well, I start my new contract this week, but am still planning on two weeks off over Christmas.
I was asked in the interview if I had any hols booked and mentioned my intention to have 2 weeks off at Christmas so no surprises for client co.
Although traveling by train from London to Manchester on Friday the 20th should be fun!I'm sorry, but I'll make no apologies for this
