    There's a fairly good level of PMs around at the moment, yes.

    For a SAP PM role, Berkshire, paying upto £400 per day - we've had 135 applicants, mostly suitable - could've submitted >20 good applicants, but whittled down to 6.

            It isn't hearsay at all. It is an assumption. There is a lot of information around, and it seems very unlikely that there is no evidence. Therefore it is very likely that there is evidence.

                    I don't agree with this at all. If a client needs a project and the business case is sound it will start, regardless of year, particularly if part of the business case is cost savings. Clients not kicking of projects just because of the time of the year is just bollocks.
