There seems to be quite a lot of talk on here on life post IR35 however there where some very serious questions raised in the house of commons.
IR35 'riddled with problems' and should be scrapped, say Lords - Citywire
Lord Forsyth of Drumlean said
‘It is unfair that contractors within the rules are treated as employees for tax purposes but do not qualify for employment rights, thus creating a class of zero-rights employees. The government is replacing one unfairness with another.’
Does anyone have a list of the concerns from the house of commons, why have HMRC not responded in the 10 days requested.
It would be useful if somebody could provide a summary of the letter for interrogation, the government are public servants but these reforms show they are clearly show acting in their own self interest.
