                  Unfortunately I've tasked myself with learning the lingo, as everyone seems to need Dutch speakers these days

                  I thought Irish was quite guttural, till I started with this. Spelling my surname phonetically in cloggy sounds like I'm choking.

                    I am English, with a Scottish sounding surname that has an Irish background - try translating that phonetically with UPC customer service in Dutch

                      I hear ya!

                      Dutch people get stumped when they see my surname spelt as its very Irish

                      Still, enjoying it over here, much prefer it to blighty ( stuck there for nearly 20 years).
