I don't bother with that. Or the aortic aneurysm thing either.

I don't give a tulip about the first () and the 2nd one has a 90% chance of killing you outright so where's the problem?

Tea: M&S chunky battered haddock (slightly undercooked for a change), Morrisons kipper fillets (more than slightly overcooked to make up for the haddock, the fecking cat was nearly going crazy until it got the skin), 1.05 pints of good Glengettie tea.

No ketchup or red sauce or tomato sauce was used in the preparation or consumption of the above.

Neither was any form of brown sauce, HP sauce, or Worcester sauce.

The afternoon's entertainment was the extras on the "Highlander: Endgame" dvd which weren't far off sending me to sleep, the CGI bit got turned off after about 3 minutes.

Followed by the first hour or so of "STV: The Final Frontier" which is the one with the shot of a Klingon blowing up one of the Voyagers, Spock's brother and Kirk talking to a deity IIRC.

The return of the good Colour Sergeant led me to this:

    The British Martini-Henry Rifle

He died on VE Day 1945 at the age of 91.

That should teach people not to provide openings when trying to trick LM into organising it..
I don't know what I've done to deserve this, but thank you

Nothing - we needed volunteers and both foolishly posted things that gave me something to grab hold of.

Plus it's hardly hard work booking a table for 10 or so in June for Friday December 11th.
merely at clientco for the entertainment

Working on some Selenium tests, so I had a look at how to get them to use Headless Firefox so there aren’t browser windows popping up and closing repeatedly every time you run the test suite. Last time I looked into this was two or three years ago and it seemed to be a bit of a pain, but now it’s a one-liner. Much better that way, and the tests run slightly faster too

Got home from ClientCo at 5pm.

HWMBO was up on the high street foraging for provisions so I strolled to meet him.

Having added essentials to the basket (chocolate) we then considered a beverage on the way home.

              Pub? No.

Newly opened wine shop with good wines available by the glass to sample? Oh ok then...

Three glasses each and after a good natter with the staff we make preparations to leave.

Their newfangled card system doesn't work. They can't take payment.

Free wine! Awesome end to the day / start to the evening.

Being me, I will pop by and settle up. Maybe.

dinner has been 5 lamb samosas, with a garlic and mint dip
<mumtaz, sainsbury's, very reduced, from the 'oops' shelf>

it will be followed later by tiramisu <also sainsbury's oops>

and back to old faithful Rioja

                    yet more murders in midsomer.

why are there any people left there? it's only a village ffs.
