Default HMRC dream of becoming world class

Form is temporary, class is permanent - Contractor Weekly

If you are sipping on a drink or eating whilst reading this article, then I suggest you stop now because you may splutter or choke when reading the next line! HMRC have recently published their report and annual accounts for 2017-18 Annual Report and Accounts and contained within its first few pages is a statement that the department’s vision is to be a world class organisation. No, it’s true, they seriously believe they can become one of the best in the world.

The only area in which HMRC are world class is driving people to suicide.

If they really want to change they could start with a customer charter. And engage with IPSE/QDOS/others on the future of IR35.

    Hyperbole much?

Move country. Job done. The more intelligent of our contractors awaken to this option, the better life those contractors will have. Other countries provide a better living standard to that of the UK. Deep down you know it's true.
