Who will see my listing?
UK contractors. ContractorUK has been the contractor's daily read since 1999: rates, IR35 news, calculators and the jobs board, read by 30,000+ UK contractors a month. Your listing appears above every feed listing in matching sector and keyword searches, on a board of 13,000+ live contracts, on the job detail pages contractors share, and in site search.
What does "hand-reviewed" actually mean?
A real person checks every direct listing before it goes live, typically in under 5 hours and within 24. We check it is a genuine, individual contract role with an accurate rate and location, and that it is not a CV-harvesting or lead-generation advert. Payment filters the spam; review keeps the board worth reading.
Will my role show up on Google?
Direct listings carry the JobPosting structured data Google's job results read, naming your company as the employer rather than an agency, and we ping search engines automatically when your listing goes live and again when it closes. Google decides what it shows and when, so nobody can honestly promise a position, but your listing ships with everything Google asks for.
Do I have to state the IR35 position?
You choose inside IR35, outside IR35 or undetermined when you post. Stating it clearly gets better-qualified applies: IR35 status is usually the first thing a contractor checks, and many filter their search by it.
Can I edit a listing after it goes live?
Yes, you can amend your listing at any time. Significant changes, like the rate or the scope of the role, are re-checked by the review team before they reappear, usually within 24 hours.
What is the refund policy?
Two promises. If we reject your listing you get an automatic full refund, so you only ever pay for listings that go live. And once live, the guarantee applies: if your listing does not bring you applications you are happy with, tell us and we refund it in full, no questions asked. The advertiser terms have the detail.
Are prices really ex VAT?
Yes, £29 and £49 exclude VAT. You see your exact total on the order summary before the secure payment page, and Stripe emails your card receipt.
What happens when the 30 days are up?
Your listing expires and unpublishes automatically. We email you a reminder 3 days before, and reposting takes one click from your dashboard with no retyping.
We're a recruitment agency. Can we post?
Yes, agencies are welcome. The review bar is the same for everyone: each listing must be a genuine, individual contract role. No multi-role adverts and no adverts designed to collect CVs.
